EN: This wayside cross stands on the Mittlerer Rebbergweg in the wine-growing area Chlus southwest of Aesch.
The stone cross is decorated with engraved vines and is dated 2000. In the upper half of the cross is: "I am the ..." a replay on John 15,1: "I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman." Without this environment, that would not be easy to guess.
DE: Dieses Wegkreuz steht am Mittleren Rebbergweg im Weinbaugebiet Chlus südwestlich von Aesch.
Das Steinkreuz ist mit gravierten Reben verziert und trägt die Jahreszahl 2000. In der oberen Hälfte des Kreuzes steht: "Ich bin der…" eine Anslpielung auf Johannes 15,1: "Ich bin der wahre Weinstock und mein Vater ist der Winzer." Ohne die Umgebung wäre das nicht einfach zu erraten.
