This cairn was placed in 1928 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Huron Tract. The Huron Tract was a 1 million acre tract of land purchased Canada Company from the British government, to be distributed to colonial settlers of Upper Canada. The Tract covers all, or part of the following current Counties: Perth, Huron, Middlesex and Lambton.
