Two memorial tablets in the chancel of St Andrew's church, Peatling Parva, to the Clarkes of Peatling Hall.

The first is to Catherine Martha Clarke (d.1818) the 1st wife of John Clarke Esq.. The second is to John Clarke Esq. (d.1858) with additional memorial to Elizabeth Sarah Clarke (d.1853) his second wife, and to Ann (d.1826) his youngest daughter.

On his monument it says:

"HE WAS FOR MANY YEARS DEPUTY
LIEUTENANT OF LEICESTERSHIRE, AND
HIGH SHERIFF FOR THAT COUNTY IN 1820.
HIS KIND AND COURTEOUS BEARING
AND UNASSUMING MANNERS ENDEARED
HIM NOT ONLY TO HIS FAMILY, BUT TO A
NUMEROUS CIRCLE OF FRIENDS, BY WHOM HE
WAS DEEPLY REGRETTED."
