A cadeia e agora um posto policial. A placa em frente explica: "Edificio do seculo XVII construido em pedra e cal. Simnbolo da autoriadade colonia compiunha com a matriz e pelourinho o tripe essencial para a utonomia administratia do provoado."
The jail is now a police station. The plaque in front explains: "17th century building built of stone and lime." The symbol of the colony's authority composed the matrix and pillory of the tripod essential for the administration of the settlement. "
