"A praia é Barra do Una, na costa Sul de São Sebastião. O local, uma esquina na calçada da Capela de Nossa Senhora do Carmo com a rua que dá acesso à praia, considerada uma das mais bonitas do Litoral Norte Paulista. Neste ponto está o local escolhido para serem eternizados os nomes das 18 vítimas fatais do acidente com o ônibus de estudantes, ocorrido no dia 8 de junho de 2016, na Rodovia Mogi-Bertioga.
Dois anos depois da tragédia que continua na lembrança de toda a Cidade, a Prefeitura de São Sebastião construiu um memorial em homenagem às vítimas, inaugurado no final da tarde da última sexta-feira, em uma cerimônia marcada pela simplicidade e emoção dos moradores, vizinhos e amigos dos 17 estudantes e do motorista que morreram, assim como dos que conseguiram sobreviver ao dia considerado “o mais triste de toda a história da Cidade”.
Barra do Una foi escolhida por ser o Bairro que abrigava a maior parte das vítimas que, diariamente, subiam a Serra de Mar para estudar nas duas universidades de Mogi das Cruzes.
Mesmo com a temperatura de 20 graus, a comunidade fez questão de ir até o local para homenagear os filhos, netos e amigos. Na Avenida, pessoas se emocionaram, aplaudiram e choraram por aqueles que ficaram conhecidos como “Os Anjos da Linha 12”.
Rui Fernandes de Oliveira, morador do Bairro Jureia, é caseiro e amigo da maioria dos estudantes. “Minha filha era muito amiga de todos eles e acho que esta homenagem foi muito bonita, porque nós precisávamos de algo como este memorial para deixar eternizados os nomes desses meninos. Claro que queria estar aqui homenageando a formatura deles, mas, sabemos que hoje eles estão junto de Deus”, disse.
Mãe de Gabriela da Silva Oliveira Santos, Maria Edinalva da Silva conta que acabou ocupando o lugar da filha na barraca de praia da família e, diariamente, terá de passar pelo local onde, a partir de agora, está a memória da estudante registrada em uma placa de aço. “Hoje eu sei que minha filha está aqui comigo e todos os dias, quando eu passar pelo memorial para ir trabalhar, sei que ela estará comigo. Vou sempre olhar para este monumento e lembrar dela com muita saudade”, contou Maria Edinalva.
Com lágrimas nos olhos, Maria Alves de Lima, mãe de Rita de Cássia, de 19 anos, relatou que tem encontrado forças na Bíblia, mais precisamente no livro de Jó, para seguir a vida e diminuir a saudade que sente da filha. “Não há um só dia em que eu não pense na minha filha, nos sonhos dela e em todo o futuro que tinha pela frente e que hoje não passa de lembranças”.
O prefeito de São Sebastião, Felipe Augusto, frisou a importância da homenagem. “Dois anos após o ocorrido é preciso considerar que hoje, nesta cerimônia, tem muito amor envolvido e um amor, sem dúvida, eterno. O que temos de dizer é que a Prefeitura de São Sebastião está presente, vai honrar com todas as suas responsabilidades e eu estou aqui para eternizar, na principal Praça de Barra do Uma, os nomes de todos que permanecem vivos no coração de cada um aqui”, finalizou.

Mother of Gabriela da Silva Oliveira Santos, Maria Edinalva da Silva tells how she ended up taking her daughter's place in the family beach tent and, every day, she has to go through the place where, from now on, there is the memory of the student enrolled in a steel plate. "Today I know that my daughter is here with me and every day, when I go through the memorial to go to work, I know she will be with me. I will always look at this monument and remember it with great longing, "said Maria Edinalva.
With tears in her eyes, Maria Alves de Lima, the mother of 19-year-old Rita de Cassia, reported that she has found strength in the Bible, more precisely in the book of Job, to follow life and reduce her longing for her daughter. "There is not a single day when I do not think about my daughter, her dreams and all the future that lay ahead and that today is nothing but memories."
The mayor of São Sebastião, Felipe Augusto, stressed the importance of the homage. "Two years after this, one must consider that today, in this ceremony, there is much love involved and a love, no doubt, eternal.
