The South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winnsboro, SC has many railroad memorabilia items. Highly recommend this museum for the railroad aficionado, to see their rolling stock and museum items.

The sign at the bell reads:

This bell belonged to the New York Central Mohawk Locomotive number 2565, Built in 1918 the locomotive was in service until the 1950s when railroads stop using steam locomotives and converted to all diesel power.

The wheel arrangement was 4-8-2. Most railroads using this type of locomotive used this type of locomotive used the the tern "Mountain" to identify them. However the New York Central chose to call them "Mohawk" after one of the rivers the railroads followed.
