The First United Methodist Church of Carnegie is located in a tan brick building with a high gabled roof and a full basement which is partially exposed. There are very nice stained glass windows in the sanctuary. The entrance faces east and has a 10-step staircase with concrete side walls. The front entrance has two glass doors slightly recessed in an entrance bay. The rear portion of the church has two floors of classrooms.
On the front of the church a cornerstone shows the church was built in 1939. Along each side of the building are eight buttresses, with either one or two windows in each bay. The church is active today>
