"Montant du bord de Meuse, derrière le casino de Namur, la route Merveilleuse fait quelques lacets dignes de la haute montagne et arrive aux ruines du château de Namur. Atteignant le donjon elle fait une boucle complète à l’extrême pointe de la citadelle (vue, au confluent Sambre-et-Meuse, sur Namur et son faubourg de Jambes). Se faufilant entre deux tours de l’ancien château, elle repasse au-dessus d’elle-même grâce à un pont et repart vers la ‘Terra Nova’, partie plus récente de la citadelle (xviie siècle).
Plus loin, au centre du parc du Champeau, elle fait de nouvelles boucles pour contourner le théâtre de verdure sur trois de ses côtés et passe devant l’ancien musée de la forêt (aujourd’hui salle de fête de la ville de Namur).
La route merveilleuse arrive au rond-point Michel Thonar où se trouve le Parc attractif Reine Fabiola. Elle change alors de nom et devient l'avenue Jean Ier et longeant le ‘Fort d’Orange’ - dernière addition (xixe siècle) au complexe défensif de la citadelle de Namur - elle descend, toujours en lacets, vers la rive droite de la Sambre, qu’elle atteint au niveau du pont de l’évêché.
À part quelques bâtiments historiques et une infrastructure touristique, presque l’entièreté du parcours est boisée."

"Amount of the edge of Meuse, behind the casino of Namur, the Merveilleuse road makes some laces worthy of the high mountain and arrives at the ruins of the castle of Namur. Reaching the dungeon it makes a complete loop at the extreme point of the citadel (view, at the confluence Sambre-et-Meuse, on Namur and its suburb of Jambes). Weaving between two towers of the old castle, it passes over itself by a bridge and goes back to the 'Terra Nova', a more recent part of the citadel (seventeenth century).
Further on, in the center of the Champeau Park, it makes new loops to bypass the green theater on three of its sides and passes in front of the old forest museum (now the party hall of the city of Namur).
The marvelous road arrives at Michel Thonar roundabout where the attractive Queen Fabiola Park is located. It then changes its name and becomes Avenue Jean I and along the 'Orange Fort' - the last addition (nineteenth century) to the defensive complex of the citadel of Namur - it descends, always in laces, towards the right bank of the Sambre, which she reaches at the bridge of the bishopric.
Apart from a few historic buildings and a tourist infrastructure, almost the entire course is wooded."
