In Walpole, at the intersection of School Street and Stone Road, is the Walpole Public Library.

The building is on the north corner of the intersection, in a new building. There are a few options for parking.

The Walpole Public Library serves the residents of Walpole. It is part of the Minuteman Library System, which allows residents from member towns in the Boston Metropolitan Area to also visit the library or to obtain items via the exchange program.

The library is first opened in a pharmacy in Walpole, on July 15, 1876. In September 1881, the library moves to the town hall built on Main Street (the building exists but is no longer the town hall). There were up to three branch libraries open: one in East Walpole, one in South Walpole, and one in the north part of town in the Fisher School. All closed - the last being the East Walpole branch in 1982. The date opening is the date that the library opened at its current location at 143 School Street.
