The town of Carnegie is located on the Washita River in Caddo County. It was incorporated in 1903, and is the headquarters of the Kiowa Tribe. The town was named after Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie hosts the annual Tri-County Free Fair, which has been occurring for 114 years.
The Town Hall is located at 11 E. Main in the downtown area. The building has an updated facade with six display windows, and a metal shed awning that covers everything above the door and windows. The offices are open Monday to Friday from 8:00-4:00.
The town is governed by a Town Board consisting of the Mayor, Vice Mayor and three Trustees. They meet on the second Thursday of each month, plus at additional times for special meetings.
