Located on State Highway 9 (E. 4th Street), near the intersection with Highway 58, a strange brick structure stands in a field near some school buildings. The structure is about ten feet high and octagonal in shape. It stands on a two-tiered concrete platform, surrounded by a two foot brick wall topped with concrete.

The water tower was constructed by the WPA in the mid 1930's. It does not appear to be in use today. Small barred windows are located on the East, West and North sides, with a door on the south which is covered by plywood. The water tower has the look of a small castle with its stepped, concrete-topped walls.
