"Originally dedicated to Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, Saint-Etienne was originally the church of the Récollets convent, founded in the first half of the 17th century.
In the 18th century, his bedside collapses and is replaced by a straight wall against which was raised the altarpiece of the Assumption, still in place.
In the 19th century, the church becomes parish, the side chapels north of the nave are replaced by a single aisle and the bell tower is rebuilt above the facade. "
