I had read somewhere that illustrator Wendell Minor, who created the artwork for this postal card, was inspired by a white barn in Washington, CT. I drove around the area one day hoping to catch a glimpse of the inspirational barn. I had almost given up when I found it along Baldwin Hill Rd. Although visible from the road, I suspect that in the summer, this barn may be mostly obscured by leaves.
