The memorial is at the side of Bridge Road, set back in a small memorial garden.

The memorial cross is made of stone with a carved sword at the top of the cross. It stands on a 3 step base. Behind the cross are two bronze plaques with the names of the dead.

The front face of the cross also has an inscription on it which was subsequently amended after the Second World War.
