The Northern End of Mooragh Park is a Dark Sky Discovery Site and has intepretation Boards, which mean that even novice stargazers can spot constellations and named stars without the light pollution which is all too common in much of the British Isles.
This Dark Sky Discovery Site is particularly good for viewing the sky to the North round to the South East.
"The Isle of Man has now become the best place to stargaze in the British Isles."

Even with the naked-eye the night sky viewed from this site is specatular. I would recommend you bring along some binoculars or a telescope with a tripod. The 2 photographs I have added to gallery were taken without the benefit of a tripod hence the rather poor results. They were taken at the end of March 2019 on a night when there was some broken high-level clould.
