A tree dedicated to Shawn T. Pangburn can be found near the administration building at the Turkey Lake Service Plaza along Florida's Turnpike in Orlando. The site is to the north of the rest area and next to a pair of small ponds and a wide pedestrian foot bridge.
A plaque is embedded near the sidewalk southwest of the tree at ground level within a landscaped plot surrounding the tree. It reads:
THIS TREE IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF ONE
OF FLORIDA’S TURNPIKE’S “FAVORITE SONS”

A MEMBER OF THE OFFICE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS STAFF.
