In Walpole, at Main Street and Stone Road, is the former Walpole Town Hall, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The building is on the east corner of the intersection, and is just east of the northeastern tip of the Walpole Town Green.'

The building is made of brick and is 2 and a half stories tall (though the roof is rather steep). In the front is a small porch and rising above the front is a clock tower topped with four-sided spire.

The state historical inventory has information about this building. It was designed by J. Williams Beal and built by J. W. Coburn in 1881. It was built on the site of the old Clapp Tavern. At the time, it also held the police station, a fire apparatus for the fire station and the public library, and it had an auditorium that was rented out. The building was also the town's movie theatre, and, for a time, held district court hearings for Norfolk County.

In 1981, town offices were moved to an old school building a block to the east. The police occupied the building until very recently. Currently, the building is under-utilized.
