Seit 1794 sind hier über 1700 Mitglieder der Evangelischen Brüdergemeine begraben worden.
Der frühere Gottesacker in der heutigen Innenstadt ist nicht mehr erhalten!
Das Herrnhuter Viertel besteht seit 1750 als Ansiedlung der Brüdergemeine in der Friedrichstraße.
Die Grabsteine sind gleich gestaltet und mit Namen, Lebensdaten und einem Bibelspruch beschriftet.
Viele Geburtsorte zeigen die weltweite Verbreitung der Brüdergemeine.

Since 1794 more than 1700 members of the Evangelical Brothers have been buried here.
The former Gottesacker in today's city center is no longer preserved!
The Herrnhut quarter exists since 1750 as a settlement of the brothers in Friedrichstraße.
The gravestones are of the same design and labeled with names, biographical data and a Bible saying.
Many birthplaces show the worldwide spread of the brothers.
