This crepe myrtle is planted near the east end of the pedestrian bridge on the nature trail. Donald Smith was born 10/17/1942 and passed away on 3/14/1981 at the age of 38.

A plaque beneath this tree reads:

In memory of
Donald Smith
For I know the plans I have for you,
