Dedicated trees are planted in the Hinton Recreational Trail and Nature Park in memory of local citizens. This planting is located at the east end of the pedestrian bridge at the beginning of the nature trail.

Lionel Coffey was a farmer and rancher in Hinton all his life. He was born 9/27/1935 and passed away on 9/2/2006. He is buried in nearby Hinton Cemetery. The plaque beside his dedicated tree reads:

Lionel Coffey
