Hinton is a town of approximately 3300 residents. This is a volunteer fire department that covers the town and surrounding area, and assists with neighboring towns when needed. They have 19 volunteers fire fighters.

The firehouse is located at 115 S Broadway in a very nice brick building. There are six overhead vehicle doors across the front, and a two-story section for offices and classrooms. They have a non-emergency number: 405-542-6700 and 911 service for emergencies. The fire department assists the local ambulance, police and Highway Patrol. There is another fire department with a Hinton address, but it is located ten miles east at Cedar Lake.
