According his entry in the Find a Grave website:

"Isaac Childs was a resident of Oakdale, MA, at the time of his enlistment into the 2nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry on May 25, 1861. He was wounded at the Battle of Cedar Mountain, VA on August, 9, 1862. He was killed in action at the Battle of Antietam."
