paX CVIqVe IntrantI rVrsVM paX hInC reDeVntI
Chronogramm: XCVIVIIVVMXICDVI = 1750

Der untere Teil lautet:
roMae sanCto De soLo at toLLebar
übersetzt: In Rom, aber der Boden leicht. (?)
Chronogramm: MCDLLL = 1750

There is a baroque gate building at the entrance to the monastery grounds of the former Cistercian monastery of Heisterbach. On the inside above the gate is a stone plaque containing two chronograms reading the year of construstion of the building 1750:

The upper part is:
paX CVIqVe IntrantI rVrsVM paX hInC reDeVntI
translated: Peace to him who enters here, and peace to him who returns from here.
chronogram: XCVIVIIVVMXICDVI = 1750

The lower part is:
roMae sanCto De soLo at toLLebar
translated: In Rome, but the ground easily. (?)
chronogram: MCDLLL = 1750

There is a faint "ANNO" between the two chronograms to indicate that the texts are hidden year specifications.
Type of numerals used: Roman

Text of the original chronogram: paX CVIqVe IntrantI rVrsVM paX hInC reDeVntI / roMae sanCto De soLo at toLLebar

English translation of the chronogram: Peace to him who enters here, and peace to him who returns from here. / In Rome, but the ground easily. (?)
