I've visited Ft. Laurens, surrounding grounds, trails, and this
tomb many times through the years. I've even watched some of the
archeolgical digs that have been conducted on these grounds. Hard
to imagine what these men went through during their service. Anyone
even remotely interested in our nation's history should definitely
take the time to visit this incredible piece of that history. The
Friends of Ft. Laurens Organization conduct several 'live
re-enactments' of the Fort's history every year. They are really
interesting and informative.
