Ranking second only to a delicious dinner, the drive to the north
end of the island in order to see this bridge was the highlight of
our Thanksgiving holiday on Whidbey Island.
Unsure of how to approach the bridge without actually crossing
it, we drove into Deception Pass State Park and parked at the
trailhead. It was a short walk up before we were greeted with this
awesome sight - the bridge looming big in front of us and the green
water far below. The trail led on underneath and past the bridge,
but the turkey was in the oven and we needed to get back to Useless
Bay for dinner.
