?Dolores is a great launching pad for visiting the ruins in the
Canyons of the Ancients, Hovenweep and Mesa Verde. And also in
Dolores is the Anasazi Cultural Center, which has exhibits about
the ancetral people of this land. And behind the center is a 1/2
mile trail leading to the Escalante Ruin. This was our first look
at the ruins in this area.
These ruins are easily accessible, so those with litte time, or
physical ability can get to see an impressive ruin.
