I did not go past the gate today, Now I wonder if I would have been
allowed in. 9/11 changed everything. I want to go to that nautical
flag pole, on the hill, above the museum at the USS Nautilus.
I have been inside before. Years ago, maybe the early 90's I saw
Joe Walsh (guitarist, Eagles/Solo) at the base. I slowly made my
way up to the stage and being 6'4" I was one of the tallest men in
the crowd. It was a wonderful fun party. I hope the men serving
here are still as much fun to hang out as when I visited.
