  I visited while waymarking a NRHP on 6th st up the road. The house were this lion is located looks a little deserted.

  I lived in Pacific Grover all my childhood, and remember this Lion like it was yesterday. I have driven by here as an adult and still gaze with wonder at the big cat. I didn't know the history either. Thanks for getting me back here for some pict...[see more]

  So after a day of hiking around in Fort Ord I stopped on lighthouse to order a pizza, then rushed around waymarking while they made it. This is the only visit I could squeeze in. Not your typical lion!

  The son and I drive/ride by this spot often on the way to the kid-sitter when we are not out caching. Pretty Cool!
