Drive-In theatres once dotted the landscape. Some are still going strong, even new ones being built. This group is to catalog those that have gone dark. Some remain standing, but no movies brighten their screens. Others don't even exist anymore.
Our Mission: To waymark as many drive-in theatres that are closed or no longer exist as possible into our category, Closed Drive-In Theatres. For those that don't exist, posting topo images or old news articles or pictures will be fine.
A category already exists for open drive-ins, please post open ones there. If you post a closed drive-in to the Closed Drive-In Theatres category, and it does reopen, please update your waymark description and let us know the good news. Your waymark will be grandfathered in and will remain. Then please go and add it to the "Drive-In Movie Theaters" category.
