Members of this group will help manage several former locationless caches which have been converted to waymarks. These members will ensure that the rules established by these waymarks are followed including any photo/GPS requirements.
Currently, each group can only manage one category. Therefore, for now we will need to set up individual groups for each category.
This group will be the primary group where all the members are established. As we adopt new categories, we'll set up groups to manage each category and members of this group will have a chance to opt in to managing the categories.
I hope that this concept will help ensure that we can preserve the "Locationless Cache" concept, and individual category owners can still maintain primary control of their categories and still meet the requirements of waymarking.com.
CURRENT CATEGORY OWNERS
Current category owners, please follow these instructions to convert your categories to groups:
Create a group. You can do this from "My Categories" and click "create a group to manage my category".
Name this group anything you wish. I would suggest prefixing the group with "LGPS" to show your affiliation with this group, but this is not required.
Invite the members of this group to join yours. Be sure to include folks on the bottom of the list so everybody has a chance to participate.
Once at least two people have joined your group, promote them to officers.
Allow the group to adopt your category.
