Engrish is a term used for the humorous misuse of the English language because of translation errors. This category is designed to mark humorous signs like the ones shown on this page. The term Engrish is sometimes used to refer to East Asian translation errors, but this category has global appeal to signs from any country or language.
For signs to be included in this category they must have both English text and foreign language text on the sign. This category is to show signs that are funny because of translation errors. If there is an english only sign that is funny for other reasons please submit it to the Unusual Signs or Unintentionally Funny Signs categories. If a sign is unintentionally funny because of language translations please put them in this category, but if the sign is unintentionally funny because of other reasons please put them in the Unintentionally Funny Signs category.
1. The sign must be humorous. This is not a category for showing off small grammatical errors, but is instead designed for showing interesting and entertaining signs.
2. Upload a photo of the sign and post a description.
3. Give the waymark a short title using the text of the english portion of the sign.
