Here we have a cannon to the right of the McCarthys 1st Richmond Howitzers CS Battery Marker which shouldn't be there. It was fabricated and inspected a year after the Battle of Gettysburg.

There are two Confederate, bronze-12-pounders which flank the Manly N.C. Artillery battery Monument. This waymark is for the cannon to the immediate left of the monument. The cannons were made in Columbus. Georgia, with the other bronze Napoleons.

Here we have the cannon tube sans the carriage to identify the headquarters of General Longstreet who, about 900 yards away, made his headquarters here when the South waged war on the North, and hell ensued here at Gettysburg in July of 1863.
