Managed By: Icon Here OHV Trail Waymarks
Description:
The term off-road refers to a driving surface which is not conventionally paved nor maintained. This is an old mountain logging road, forest access road, rural scenic backroad (for you folks in the plains), or marked/unmarked OHV trail. These trails should only be traveled by vehicles designed for off-road driving (such as heavy-duty trucks and equipment, SUVs, ATVs, snowmobiles, dirt bikes or mountain bikes) or vehicles that have the proper off-road equipment.
Expanded Description:
Numbered or Un-Numbered Jeep/ATV trails, rural scenic routes in the plains states, or any forest access route.
Instructions for Posting a Offroad Trails Waymark:
You must submit a trailhead longitude and latitude, and a photo of some portion of the trail. List any numbered or named spur trails that you are aware of. Any spur trail that is over 1 mile long may be listed as a seperate waymark but in your new writeup you must list the spur trailhead coordinates and state that it is a spur of (the main trail number/name) and list the coordinates for the main trailhead. A new photo is required for a spur waymark.

Users that have the ability to post a topographic map of the area are highly encouraged to do so, but not required. A good program to do this with is national geographic's topo! program.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
Before posting your log be sure that you have a picture of you, your group, or the wheelin rig on the trail. In your log please post a little bit about your experience on the trail(s). (Would you recommend this to others? Etc...) Optional: If you have a topo map to upload with your track log information that is always welcome!
