To waymark historic battlefields throughout the world. Anything from major battles like Waterloo and Gettysburg, to minor local skirmishes.

Expanded Description:
To be eligible the battlefield could now be an historic park, or at minimum a spot highlighted by an historical marker that can be photographed.

Instructions for Posting a Battlefields Waymark:
Battlefield waymarks should include mention of the war in which it occurred, the date(s) it occurred, the participating armies, major players (e.g. officers) if known, the result (who won) and any other historic background available.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
Post a photo of you and/or your GPS in front of a sign or marker posted at the site of the battle.

In addition it is encouraged to take a few photos two of the surrounding area and interesting features at the site.
