1911 was this bridge's birth year and 2010, 99 years later, was the year of its rebirth. According to Morrison-Maierle, Inc., engineers for the rehabilitation, this is the last Parker-Pratt Deck Truss bridge remaining in Montana.

Opened on July 2, 1871, the Montana State Prison at Deer Lodge housed its fair share of criminal types in the century plus that it was operational. This sign, telling a bit of the history of the prison is at the entrance of the prison, now a museum.

One of the older homes on Hickory Street, its owner, Chas Tuttle, didn't get around to actually owning the land on which it sits until 1897, five years after it was built. This Queen Anne is possessed of a fair amount of Gingerbread (mass produced).
