Nemesis, a black frontiersman, was killed here while fighting Indians with Maryland frontiersman, Thomas Cresap, in the 1750s. Legend tells us that he had a premonition of his death. In his honor, they named this mountain after him.

Old six room motel located at the bend of the road, on top of the hill. The Mason Dixon line is right behind it and you can see the old monument and stone pile. The motel was built in 1950.

A remaining portion of the Old Braddock Road, which followed Nemacolin's Trail. Braddock and his men cut a wider trail on their way to attack the French near Pittsburgh. He was ambushed and mortally wounded before he got there.

Mount Washington Tavern, now part of the Fort Necessity National Battlefield, was a home built by Judge Nathaniel Ewing in about 1827. It later became a stage stop and tavern that served travelers on the National Road.
