To collect, photograph and record the historical markers/history of the state of Maine.
Expanded Description:

Find a Maine marker. It may be any historical society's, GAR (Grand Army of the Republic), DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), etc.

Instructions for Posting a Maine Historical Markers Waymark:
Required:
1) At least two photos, three would be better. One being an over all, or location of the site view. No cheap cell phone photos, please, make it a quality one. Prefer no one is in the photo.
2) Location: address, directions, some way for others to find it. Not everyone uses a hand held to find history.
3) Title of marker and city/state in "name" field, please. (i.e. Longfellow House - Portland, ME)
4) Text MUST be in the long description. Also, in the long description it would be nice if you added you impressions, and/or views of the site.
5) No private personal markers. Must be accessible to the public.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
1) A new photo taken by you. Make it a quality one. You do not have to be in it, nor your hand held.
2) Some new insight to the history, and/or your personal experience finding the site.
