Description:
This category is meant for buildings that are still classic theaters or buildings that once were theaters. If it is no longer a theater, then it must still have the theater features.
Also no waymark will be accepted if the building was built after 1950 unless there is an amazing story behind the theater.
Expanded Description:
These buildings should be vintage, not newly built to look vintage.
A vintage theater is defined by a theater which has hosted filmed productions at one time in its life. It has also been in existence for more than 60 years. If the date is not clear, the acceptance of the waymark is at the discretion of the group. Also the exterior should still have most of its theater decorations (i.e neon lights, marquee, and theater logo).

Instructions for Posting a Vintage Movie Theaters Waymark:
2 Photos Required:
All photos must be original photos, no copyright photos. If these are found the submission will be denied.
If the theater is still viable: 1) Either a photo of the during the day or at night with the theater lit up. We would prefer that you take both, but it is not required.
2) Also, you MUST post a picture of the theater's marquee or signage up close.
If the theater is no longer in service: Take a picture of the building. Try to provide a picture of the theater in its heyday. Also, you MUST be able to tell some of the history about the building and the area. Please credit your source(s) of information.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:
Must take a photo of the theater.
Please try to include yourself or gps in the picture.
Tell of your experience at the theater, if it is still a theater. If it is no longer a theater tell of an experience from the past at the theater, if this can be done.
