This 1914 brick and stone was the most elegant business block in the city when built. Time has not done much to tarnish its reputation for elegance. It was built by local contractors Johnston & Gill using bricks of their own making.

In the 1920s sheep herding was very popular in the Kamloops area and this building, built in 1929 by the B.C. Sheep Breeders Association, was the centre of activity for shows, fairs and sales until the 1960s.

Pioneer Cemetery was the first cemetery in Kamloops, with the final burial taking place in 1901. Falling into disuse, it was finally taken over by the city and restored in 1962. There were approximately 250 burials in the cemetery.

Pleasant Street Cemetery is divided into two sections bisected by 9th Avenue. Pleasant Street Cemetery celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000. This was the second cemetery in Kamloops, the original being Pioneer Cemetery.

Built in 1895, this building was used as a cigar factory until 1913, when the factory outgrew the premises and moved. Taken over at that time by a bakery, the building still stands on the corner of Seymour Street and First Avenue.

This little 103 year old brick-faced concrete block building has had many tenants over the years. It was built by a group of Belgian investors which bought 14,606 acres in the area in 1907, having previously bought 200,000 acres in Saskatchewan.
