One of the oldest in Nova Scotia, St. Mary's church was constructed and consecrated in 1790 and was the second Anglican church to be consecrated in British North America. The first, St. Paul's in Halifax, is just 40 years older.

Built in 1845 as a family church for the Uniacke family, this little church has served the family, neighbours and friends for 170 years. The 170th anniversary service was held May 24th, 2015. It is surrounded by a small cemetery, still in use.
