Built 1906-1907, it is an attractive, three-story (plus basement), limestone clad structure in the Renaissance Revival style. This style is revealed in the ornate, arched entry with Doric surround; arched 1st floor windows & ornamental eave brackets.

Carnegie Library Building was constructed in 1914-1915. It was designed in a Classical Revival style by local architect John Tulloch. The library moved in 1973 and the building became the Sherman Historical Museum in 1976.
