The 1868 house is Greek Revival Style constructed of pink brick, locally made. Greek Revival indicated perfect exterior balance, which can be seen in the pairs of arched windows on both sides and the chimneys on either end.

This old wood frame church, built in 1838, has a very tall spire which is topped with an octagonal finial and a "fish" weathervane. That spire makes an excellent landmark, and has for many decades.

Originally opened in 1914 as the Hippodrome. When destroyed by fire it was rebuilt with it's current Mediterranean style in 1929 and was named the Waco Theatre. Current sign has both names.
