The combat against malaria is one of the aspects of the cooperation of Taiwan in Sao Tome and Principe. The team of doctors and researchers who is manning this project is part of the official support provided by Taiwan to Sao Tome and Principe.
This team works in two fronts: fighting against the malaria mosquito and prevention of outbursts; research about the mosquito cycle of life, fighting techniques, disease spreading, identification of problematic areas, etc.
The building hosting the team and their lab is located in beautiful spot, next to the sea, in one of the most charming neighborhoods of São Tomé..
