Markets are usually picturesque places, full of color, sounds and aromas. All this is specially true for this African market, located in the center of the city of São Tomé. It's called the "Old Market" as there is now another market in the city, the called "New Market", only a few hundred meters far.
It's a ground floor structure, where the "farmers products" can be found. This includes fish, lots of fish, as the local economy is strongly marked by fishing products. Also vegetables and fruits, mostly freely picked by the sellers in the fertile jungles of the country.
Be aware that pictures are not welcomed by most of the sellers.
