The night was clear when Max & 99 and their son Jared watched the magnitude -3.7 ISS pass over Edmond/Oklahoma City at 19:19:13 CDT with 73° altitude. The ISS was VERY bright, clearly outshining the star Altair (the 13th brightest star in the sky at magnitude 0.77) as the ISS nearly passed in front. Jared took a video of the event as the Space Station rose from the southwest, passed through the constellation of Aquila and reached maximum altitude near the constellation of Cygnus. From a bench seat near Lake Arcadia, along Route 66, the view of the ISS rising over the water was fantastic! Next, in Joliet, IL, cldisme observed the ISS reach 77° altitude and magnitude -3.8 at 19:21:41 CDT.

The cities of Oklahoma City, OK and Joliet, IL are 642 miles apart and the time it took the ISS to travel between the locations was 2 min 28 sec.
